Showers Expected in Southern Gyeonggi During Liberation Day Holiday
Showers are forecast for Incheon and southern Gyeonggi over the weekend that includes the Liberation Day holiday.
The Seoul Metropolitan Area Meteorological Administration said that while the heat wave with temperatures reaching 33 degrees will continue from the 13th through the 15th, rainfall of 5 to 40mm is expected in parts of Seoul, Incheon, and southern Gyeonggi from the afternoon into the evening on the 14th.
On the 15th, Liberation Day, the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy, with rainfall of 5 to 50mm from around noon into the evening hours.
The weekend's morning low temperatures are forecast at 21 to 25 degrees, with daytime highs of 31 to 34 degrees.
Meanwhile, although Typhoon Chanhom, which passed over the Japanese archipelago, has dissipated, the heat wave and tropical nights are expected to continue for some time.
