Hwaseong Talent Development Foundation Awards Scholarships to 797 Students
The Hwaseong Talent Development Foundation held the "2026 Scholarship Certificate Presentation Ceremony" on the 13th at the Grand Hall of Dawon Eeum-teor.
The ceremony was organized under the slogan "A Shining Star in Hwaseong, Talent to Brighten the World!" to celebrate and encourage scholarship recipients selected in the first half of 2026.
The event was attended by Cho Seung-moon, Vice Mayor of Hwaseong Special City, Lee Gye-chul, Chairman of the Hwaseong Special City Council, Jang Chul-gyu, Vice Chairman of the Culture and Sports Committee of the Hwaseong Special City Council, and council members Shin Dong-hee, Yu Ji-hye, and Jang Dong-hee, who congratulated the scholarship recipients on their new beginning. About 350 people including scholarship recipients and parents added significance to the event.
The foundation selected a total of 797 scholarship recipients in the first half of this year: △500 Dream Dream scholarship recipients △100 housing support scholarship recipients △9 overseas study scholarship recipients △3 Yoonseong and Lee Kang-nyeo scholarship recipients △4 NH Bank scholarship recipients △2 Bio Pap PNP scholarship recipients △179 The Dream scholarship recipients.
Vice Mayor Cho Seung-moon said, "I hope this scholarship will serve as strength for students to discover their potential and take another step toward their dreams," and added, "We will continue to provide growth opportunities so that students can demonstrate their capabilities on a broader stage beyond Hwaseong."
Meanwhile, the foundation plans to additionally select "Special Talent Scholarship" and "The Dream Scholarship" recipients in September targeting elementary, middle, and high school students in the region. In October, it plans to provide "Cona I Co., Ltd. Small Business Owner Scholarship" for university students whose parents are small business owners in the region, providing scholarship benefits to a total of 1,101 scholarship recipients this year.
