A : Well, it looks like my weekend ski trip fell through.
B : Oh, that is too bad, what happened?
A : My friend’s wife had an accident.
B : Is she okay?
A : She’s fine. She broke her leg on her office stairs.
B : I am glad she’s okay, but sorry about the ski trip.
A : 음, 주말 스키 여행이 틀어질 것 같아.
B : 어, 안됐다. 무슨 일 있었어?
A : 친구의 부인이 사고가 났어.
B : 부인은 괜찮아?
A : 괜찮아. 사무실 계단에서 다리가 부러졌어.
B : 괜찮다니 다행인데 스키 여행은 안됐다.

‘fall through’는 어떤 일 등이 일어나지 않다는 의미로 ‘실현되지 못하다, 틀어지다, 수포로 돌아가다’ 등의 의미로 해석됩니다.
Ex) Four years of work is going to fall through. (4년 간의 작업이 수포로 돌아갈 것이다.)
The negotiations fell through in the last stages. ( 협상이 막판에 틀어졌다.)
