A: It's still cold outside.
B: Did you bring an umbrella just in case?
A: Just in case of what?
B: The rain, silly! The weatherman said there's a chance of rain today.
A: I guess I should go back and get an umbrella then. I don't want to be caught with tail between legs if it does end up raining.
B: Good idea, also... get me an umbrella too!
A : 밖에 여전히 춥다.
B : 만약을 대비해서 우산을 챙겨 왔니?
A : 무엇을 대비해서?
B : 비, 바보야! 일기 예보관이 오늘 비가 올 가능성이 있다고 했어.
A : 그럼 다시 돌아가서 우산을 가져와야겠구나. 결국 비가 내리면 풀 죽어 꼼짝 못하게 되는 것은 싫으니까.
B : 좋은 생각이야. 그리고…나도 하나 가져다 줘!

‘there’s a chance of ~’는 ‘~할 가능성/확률이 있다’라는 표현입니다.
Ex) There’s a 90 percent chance of showers tomorrow. 내일 소나기가 올 확률이 90%야.
‘with tail between legs’는 개가 풀이 죽어 꼬리를 축 내린 모습에서 비롯되어 ‘기가 죽은, 창피해 하며, 뒷걸음쳐 오므라들어’라는 의미를 가진 표현입니다.
Ex) The boy just sits there and waits with the tail between the legs. 그 소년은 기가 죽어 그냥 그 곳에 앉아 기다린다.
