A : There will be a lot of people in attendance. Are you sure you made enough?
B : Yes, I prepared enough food to feed an army.

A : 파티를 위해서 음식을 만들어?
B : 응, 하루 종일 걸렸어.
A : 많은 사람들이 올 거야. 충분히 만든 거 확실 해?
B : 응, 군대를 먹일 수 있을 정도로 충분히 준비했어.
A : 좋았어!

‘take’는 ‘(시간이나 노력 등이) 들다, 걸리다’ 등의 의미로도 사용되며 이 때 의미가 없는 ‘it’을 주어로 하여 문장이 구성됩니다.
Ex) It takes a long time to learn a foreign language. 외국어를 배우는 것은 오랜 시간이 걸립니다.
‘enough food to feed an army’는 ‘일개 군대를 먹일 수 있을 정도의 충분한 양의 음식’을 나타내는 표현입니다.
Ex) The food is big enough to feed an army. 음식이 일개 군대를 먹일 정도로 충분히 많다.
