B: I have no class on Fridays, so I’ll be free during the whole day.
A: Thanks a million! I’ll take you out to dinner some time.
B: I’ll hold you to that!
A : 이봐, 내 과학 숙제를 도와줄 수 있을까?
B : 그래. 언제 내 도움이 필요한데?
A : 이번 주 금요일에 한가해?
B : 금요일에 수업이 없으니까 하루 종일 한가할 거야.
A : 너무 고마워! 언제 밖에서 저녁 한번 살게.
B : 그 말 꼭 지키도록 할거야!

‘take somebody out to ~’는 ‘~를 ~로 데리고 가다’ ‘~에게 밖에서 ~를 사다’라는 의미의 표현입니다.
.Ex) I’ll take her out to a nice restaurant downtown this weekend. 나는 이번 주말에 그녀를 시내에 멋진 레스토랑으로 데려갈 것이다.
‘I’ll hold you to that.’은 상대방이 한 말이나 약속을 꼭 지키도록 하겠다는 의미입니다.
Ex) A : I’m going to pay you back next week. 다음 주에 돈 갚을게.
B : I’ll hold you to that. 그 말 꼭 지키도록 한다.
