A: We’ve finally made it to England.
B: I’m excited to see all the sights and attractions.
A: Where do you want to go to first?
B: I’d like to go to Buckingham Palace and see the guards.
A: From what I’ve read, I hear they give you a cold shoulder when you talk to them.
B: Really? Maybe we should see them at the end of our trip.
A : 우리 마침내 영국에 오게 됐네.
B : 모든 명소들과 관광지를 보게 되어서 흥분 돼.
A : 어디를 먼저 가고 싶어?
B : 버킹엄 궁전과 근위대를 가고 싶어.
A : 내가 읽은 바로는 네가 그들에게 이야기하면 그들은 냉랭하게 대한다고 들었어.
B : 정말? 그럼 우리 여행 마지막에 그들을 봐야겠다.

‘sight’는 ‘보기, 광경’ 등의 의미로 자주 사용되는 단어인데 복수형으로 사용되면 ‘명소’를 뜻하기도 합니다.
‘attractions’은 보통 ‘tourist attraction’으로도 사용되며 ‘관광명소’를 뜻합니다.
‘give/show somebody a/the cold shoulder’는 ‘~를 냉정하게 대하다, ~를 피하다’라는 의미의 표현입니다.
Ex) How come you gave me the cold shoulder at the party last week? 지난 주에 파티에서 왜 나한테 쌀쌀맞게 대한 거야?
