A: Absolutely, I was sweating like a pig an hour ago.
B: You were? Glad to see I wasn't the only one.
A : 저기! 저거면 해결되겠다.
B : 너 뭐 한 거야?
A : 집에 있는 모든 창문을 한 번에 열도록 스위치를 톡 눌렀지.
B : 나쁘지 않은데. 확실히 여기서 환기가 좀 더 잘 되겠는데.
A : 그렇지. 한 시간 전에 땀을 뻘뻘 흘렸었잖아.
B : 그랬어? 나만 그런 게 아니라서 다행이네.

‘do the trick.’는 관용어 구로 그 의미는 ‘do exactly what is needed’ 즉 ‘필요한 것을 정확히 하다, 성공하다, 효험이 있다, 문제를 해결하다’등 입니다.
Ex) This new paint scraper really does the trick. 이 새 페인트 긁개가 효과가 있네.
‘sweat like a pig’ 또한 관용적인 표현으로 ‘(중노동, 공포 따위로 땀을 뻘뻘 흘리다)라는 의미입니다. 비슷한 표현으로는 ‘sweat buckets,’ ‘perspire heavily’ 등이 있습니다.
Ex) I was sweating buckets under my plastic rain jacket. 나는 비닐 창화 아래로 땀을 비오 듯 흘리고 있었다.
