Pyeongtaek City Recruits Participants for '8-Week Healthy Habit Building' Online Program
Pyeongtaek City (Mayor Choi Won-yong) announced that it will operate an online-based physical activity program titled '8-Week Healthy Habit Building in Daily Life' to encourage citizens' voluntary physical activity and help them develop healthy lifestyle habits.
The program will run for eight weeks from August 31 to October 23 and will be operated in a non-face-to-face format so that citizens who have difficulty visiting the health center can easily participate.
Participants must be Pyeongtaek citizens aged 20 to 65 who can smoothly use smartphones, with 200 spots available. Applications can be submitted by adding the KakaoTalk channel 'Songtan Health Center Health Information Talk!' and then submitting an application form through Naver Form (https://naver.me/GSQFbB3K) or by scanning the QR code attached to the guide.
The application period runs from 9 a.m. on the 18th to 1 p.m. on the 28th. In particular, the first challenge mission of '7,000 steps walking' will be conducted over two days, August 29 and 30, and only applicants who complete mission verification will be confirmed as final participants and enrolled in the program.
Final participants will receive exercise videos twice a week through the 'Strong Body and Mind' YouTube channel operated by Songtan and Pyeongtaek health centers. Additionally, through the 1:1 chat feature in the 'Songtan Health Center Health Information Talk!' channel, participants can receive professional feedback from exercise specialists twice a week along with exercise verification.
An official from Pyeongtaek City's Songtan Health Center said, "We have prepared a non-face-to-face program so that citizens can autonomously practice physical activity without constraints of time and place," and added, "We hope for active participation from citizens who wish to develop healthy habits in their daily lives."
