Suwon Local Food Direct Store to Operate 'Fresh Suwon Peach' Direct Trading Market on the 22nd

Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) will hold a 'Icheon Fresh Suwon Peach Direct Sales and Win-Win Cooperation Event' at the Suwon Local Food Direct Store from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 22nd, jointly with its partner city Icheon.

The event will sell 4-kilogram boxes of Icheon Fresh Suwon peaches in yellow and white varieties. Prices include △extra-large peaches (9-10 per box) 37,000 won △large peaches (11-12 per box) 34,000 won △medium peaches (13-14 per box) 31,000 won, which are over 10 percent cheaper than regular retail prices in Icheon.

The Suwon Local Food Direct Store regularly sells specialty products from Icheon including peanuts, Icheon rice processed goods, and dairy products. Event merchandise and store products can be purchased using Suwon Pay.

An official from Suwon City stated, "This event was organized to expand win-win cooperation with our partner city Icheon and to provide seasonal agricultural products at reasonable prices." The official added, "We expect that increased activity at the direct store will lead to higher incomes for local farmers."
