Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) announced on the 20th that it has renovated facilities at Mabuk Neighborhood Park in Mabuk-dong, Giheung-gu, and created green spaces.

The city invested a total project budget of 900 million won (500 million won in city funds, 300 million won in national funds, and 100 million won in provincial funds) to refurbish aging park facilities and transformed the area into green spaces and gardens by covering existing ponds.

The city created terraced areas around the pavilion, installed traditional chimneys, and planted flowering plants such as plum blossoms to create a resting area for citizens.

The space has been reorganized to harmonize the pavilion with surrounding greenery, transforming it into a place where citizens can relax while appreciating nature.

The city also consolidated exercise equipment scattered throughout the park into one location for convenient access by visitors and replaced deck stairs to improve efficiency in facility management and safety inspections.

A city official said, "We have renovated the aging facilities at Mabuk Neighborhood Park and transformed the existing pond and stream spaces into comfortable green spaces and gardens for citizens to enjoy," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to prioritize citizen safety while carrying out park improvements that reflect the needs of local residents."
