Suwon Special City Dream Start Families Watch Suwon FC Home Match
Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) held a soccer match viewing program for approximately 80 Dream Start children and their families at Suwon Sports Complex Main Stadium on the 22nd. The event was made possible in part through sponsorship from the Foundation Suwon FC.
The Dream Start children and families participated in a home match tour, viewing the grounds and gift shop before the game, followed by watching the Suwon FC match against Gimhae. Suwon FC provided commemorative items including player cards and signed balls to the participating families.
A representative from the Foundation Suwon FC said, "It is meaningful to have provided an opportunity for Dream Start children and families to enjoy watching soccer together," and added, "We will continue our corporate social responsibility activities to support the healthy growth of local children."
One parent of a participating child said, "It was very enjoyable to cheer with my child and tour the grounds and gift shop before the match," and added, "The signed ball we received as a memento has become a precious gift for my child."
A Suwon City official said, "We hope this provided an opportunity for Dream Start children and families to spend a joyful time together and create precious memories," and added, "We will continue to work with the local community to steadily promote various cultural and sports experience programs for children and families."
Suwon City's Dream Start provides customized integrated services in the health, welfare, and education sectors to vulnerable children aged 12 and under and their families. The program currently operates three locations: Seryuu, Uman, and Yeonghwa.
