Vietnamese Women's Federation Visits Gyeonggi Province Technical School to Explore International Cooperation
On the 25th, the Gyeonggi Province Technical School under the Gyeonggi Province Employment Foundation welcomed a Vietnamese Women's Federation delegation for diplomatic and international integration capacity building and shared technical education and women's employment policies. The visit was arranged to share policies and on-site experiences for women's economic independence and vocational competency enhancement, and to explore future cooperation possibilities.
The Vietnamese Women's Federation, which is investigating best practices from overseas, visited the foundation to examine the Gyeonggi Province Technical School's technical workforce development and women's job placement and startup support operations. The visit included a total of 18 participants, including the senior deputy director-general of the Vietnamese Women's Federation and accompanying personnel.
The foundation introduced the Gyeonggi Province Technical School's operational model, focusing on current status and major achievements in technical workforce development tailored to industrial demand in sectors such as electricity and automobiles. The two sides then exchanged views on future cooperation possibilities, centering on enhancing women's vocational competencies and talent cultivation.
The delegation toured major practice facilities at the Gyeonggi Province Technical School, including the △Advanced Machinery Department, △Electrical Energy Department, △Smart Mobility Department, △AI Industry Department, and △Smart Welding Department. They examined curriculum and practical equipment reflecting industrial demand and confirmed the practical-oriented technical workforce development system.
The delegation then visited the foundation's Southern Business Division to inspect the Women's New Start Center vocational training facility and the women's startup support project 'Kkummaroo' operations. The visitors examined the women's employment support system connecting from vocational training through employment and startup. Based on this, they expanded their understanding of the foundation's employment policies encompassing both technical education and support for women's economic activities.
Heo Jeong-eun, head of the Convergence Talent Division at the Gyeonggi Province Employment Foundation, stated, "Enhancing women's vocational competencies is an issue that must be addressed collaboratively beyond national borders," and added, "I hope this visit will serve as a starting point for substantive cooperation that goes beyond simply sharing experiences between the two institutions."
