Osan Oseok Market Reduces Delivery Burden with 'Digital Delivery Center'
Osan City announced on the 26th that it held an opening ceremony for the 'Digital Delivery Center' at the Oseok Market Customer Support Center and commenced operations.
The Digital Delivery Center is a delivery support system jointly established by Oseok Market and CJ Logistics. It is the second nationwide following Daepyeong Market in Daejeon and the first among traditional markets in Gyeonggi Province. Oseok Market was selected as the location based on the merchant association's strong commitment to improving logistics infrastructure and significant potential for business expansion backed by abundant foot traffic in the station vicinity.
The opening ceremony was attended by Osan Mayor Cho Yong-ho, Gyeonggi Province council members, the president of the National Merchants Federation, and CJ Logistics officials, who introduced the delivery center's operational system and demonstrated the collection process.
When merchants call to request delivery, a dedicated delivery manager visits their store to collect products, which are then loaded onto CJ Logistics vehicles in the evening and shipped nationwide. This is expected to reduce the inconvenience single-person shop owners faced by having to suspend business and personally visit post offices and other facilities to submit parcels.
Osan Mayor Cho Yong-ho stated, "We will establish this stably on site and enhance the competitiveness of Oseok Market."
