Yongin City Launches Special Chuseok Holiday Cashback Program
Yongin City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) announced on the 28th that it will operate the 'Chuseok Holiday Special Cashback Program,' which returns 10% of local currency payment amounts to promote the local economy during the Chuseok holiday.
The program covers payment amounts made with Yongin Y-Pay from September 18 to 27. During this period, the city will provide 10% of the amount paid by Yongin Y-Pay users.
The maximum amount paid per person is 30,000 won, and amounts paid as policy allowances and incentives are excluded from the program.
Separately from this program, the monthly local currency incentive of 10% will remain the same.
Monthly incentives are provided up to a maximum of 30,000 won within a charge limit of 300,000 won per person, and the city plans to continue supporting the promotion of consumption and revitalization of the local economy.
A city official stated, "We have prepared the 'Chuseok Holiday Special Cashback Program' to promote consumption within the region and increase sales for small business owners during the Chuseok holiday, the nation's major celebration," and added, "We will continue to pursue livelihood economic support policies utilizing local currency to increase the tangible benefits that citizens can feel and provide practical assistance in recovery of sales for local small business owners."
