Hwaseong Special City Dongtan-gu holds first regional concert 'RE:WIND Dance Night!' with enthusiasm
The regional concert 'RE:WIND Dance Night!' held by Dongtan-gu, Hwaseong Special City on the 22nd at Dongtan Yeoul Park football field concluded successfully with enthusiastic response from citizens.
This concert was the first regional concert held since the launch of the four-district system in February this year, and was planned to allow citizens to enjoy cultural performances in their daily lives and enable diverse generations to come together in harmony.
The event, which ran for 120 minutes from 7 p.m., was filled with citizens not only in the 3,000-seat audience but also in the standing area, heating up the venue, and became a meaningful time for families, friends, and neighbors to gather in one place and share empathy and communication across generations through music. Dongtan Yeoul Park was filled with laughter and cheers from citizens of various ages.
The performance opened refreshingly with the clear and hopeful harmonies of the local children's choir 'Singing Angels.' Popular artists Cleo and Kim Hyun-jung then delivered an exciting stage with familiar hit songs, and when Lee Jae-hoon (COOL) sang his representative songs, cheers erupted in unison from the audience. Citizens enjoyed the moment of a summer night festival by singing along with the songs.
Hwaseong Special City Mayor Jung Myung-geun said, "It is all the more meaningful that many citizens joined us for the first regional concert held in Dongtan-gu since the launch of the four-district system. Seeing citizens enjoying music together across generations and communicating with one another in the vibrant and energetic Dongtan, I once again felt the bright future and possibilities of Dongtan."
He continued, "So that citizens can feel that 'I made a good choice living in Dongtan,' we will expand opportunities to enjoy high-quality performances and culture close to daily life, and we will prepare various cultural events that bring out Dongtan's unique vitality and characteristics."
Dongtan-gu Office Chief Hwang Guk-hwan said, "I thank all citizens for creating this special summer night together. Going forward, we will listen to the voices of residents and continue to create cultural spaces where people of all ages and genders can come together."
