The Civic Grievance Committee of Pyeongtaek City (Mayor Choi Won-yong) is operating 'Mobile Grievance Consultation Days' from August through October at 16 district administrative welfare centers, where committee members visit residents directly to listen to their grievances and seek solutions together.

This consultation targets citizens experiencing inconvenience due to administrative dispositions or systems of Pyeongtaek City, or those facing difficulties with civil complaints that remain unresolved for extended periods. Civic grievance committee members will consult on grievances at the sites and, if necessary, provide support for resolution through review and coordination with relevant departments.

Consultations proceed according to schedule, and citizens can visit without separate application. Citizens desiring smooth consultations may apply in advance to the respective district administrative welfare center or the Civic Grievance Committee.

Citizens unable to attend consultation on operation days may file civil complaints anytime at the Civic Grievance Committee of Pyeongtaek City Hall from 09:00 to 18:00 on weekdays or through the Pyeongtaek City website online.

Notable resolved grievance cases by the Pyeongtaek City Civic Grievance Committee include a civil complaint from a Pyeongtaek resident (farmer) objecting to exclusion from disaster relief for agricultural warehouses damaged by heavy snow. After several rounds of consultation and coordination with the complainant and relevant Pyeongtaek City departments, the city recognized the farm as a heavy snow damage victim within approximately four months and expressed its opinion to provide support based on regulations, resolving the complaint.

Additionally, in a grievance case involving a female head of household receiving basic livelihood assistance and suffering from Parkinson's disease who objected to reduction in benefits, the city comprehensively reviewed related documents and conducted investigation into the complainant's living conditions and illness. Based on findings that the complainant's claims held substantial merit, the city resolved the grievance through opinion expression.

According to operational results for 2025, the Pyeongtaek City Civic Grievance Committee issued four opinion expressions resulting in approval (resolution), one recommendation for improvement, 25 settlements, and handled 70 guidance cases for deliberation, processing a total of 216 cases with substantial achievements.

Shin Dong-taek, representative Civic Grievance Committee member, stated, "We will examine the inconveniences experienced by citizens from the citizens' perspective rather than the administrative agency's standpoint, and endeavor to find practical solutions in the field," and added, "We hope for active interest and participation from citizens requiring consultation."
