Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Social Economy Organization Hold 'Gyeonggi Better Consumption Festa' at Starfield

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Social Economy Organization will hold the '2026 Gyeonggi Better Consumption Festa' at four Starfield locations starting on the 21st to expand sales channels for social economy organizations and promote value-based consumption.

The detailed schedule includes August 21-23 at Suwon, August 28-30 at Hanam, September 4-6 at Anseong, and September 11-13 at Goyang, with 104 social economy organizations from the province participating.

During the event period, in addition to selling products from social economy organizations such as food, daily necessities, and handicrafts, each location will operate family-oriented cultural performances, roulette events, wappen keyring-making activities, and bingo games.

Starfield (Shinsegae Property) is participating as a sponsor of this event, and a portion of sales proceeds will be donated to Gyeonggi Love of Fruit to create a positive cycle of social value where consumer purchases lead to community donations.

Nam Yang-ho, Director of the Gyeonggi Social Economy Organization, said, "Through cooperation between public institutions and private distribution companies, we will connect social economy organization products to actual consumption spaces and continue to support new sales channels. We hope the Better Consumption Festa will provide an opportunity for consumers to naturally encounter social economy products and experience value-based consumption in their daily lives."

Meanwhile, at last year's Better Consumption Festa, a total of 127 social economy organizations participated and achieved sales of approximately 160 million won.
