Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Social Economy Foundation Hold 'Gyeonggi Better Consumption Festival' at Starfield
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Social Economy Foundation will hold the '2026 Gyeonggi Better Consumption Festival' at four Starfield locations starting from the 21st to expand sales channels for social economy organizations and promote value consumption.
The schedule includes August 21-23 at Suwon, August 28-30 at Hanam, September 4-6 at Anseong, and September 11-13 at Goyang, with 104 social economy organizations from the province participating.
During the festival period, in addition to selling products from social economy organizations such as food, household goods, and handicrafts, family-friendly cultural performances, raffle events, wappen keychain making, and bingo games will be operated at each location.
This festival is sponsored by Starfield (Shinsegae Property). To create a positive cycle of social value where consumer purchases lead to community donations, a portion of sales will be donated to Gyeonggi Sarang's Fruits of Love.
Nam Yang-ho, Director of the Gyeonggi Social Economy Foundation, said, "Through cooperation between public institutions and private distribution companies, we will connect social economy organization products with actual consumption spaces and support new sales channels. We hope the Better Consumption Festival will be an opportunity for consumers to naturally encounter social economy products and experience value consumption in their daily lives."
Meanwhile, at last year's Better Consumption Festival, a total of 127 social economy organizations participated and achieved approximately 160 million won in sales.
