Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) announced on the 21st that it will operate the second-half program of 'Visiting Human Book Mentoring,' which received high satisfaction and positive response from youth in the first half, starting in September.

'Visiting Human Book Mentoring' is a program in which 'human books' registered at Yongin City libraries visit local middle and high schools in person to share stories about career paths and humanities based on their experience and knowledge, and communicate with students.

The second-half program will be conducted four times from September through October at four schools: Deokyoung High School, Shinbong Middle School, Dohyun Middle School, and Cheoin High School.

On September 11 at Deokyoung High School, human book An So-hyun will share startup experience and career stories under the theme 'Start-up Journey of a Design Company.'

On October 16 at Shinbong Middle School, human book Jang Seok-jin will introduce writing methods under the theme 'Creative Writing Class: Writing Essays and Editorials.'

On October 28 at Dohyun Middle School, human book Kim Suk-hee will train methods of expressing thoughts and emotions through writing under the theme 'Reading, Meditation, and Diary Writing.'

On October 28 at Cheoin High School, human book Lee Kyung-ho will introduce career exploration methods suited to a changing technological environment under the theme 'Career Reconfiguration Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) Big Data and ChatGPT.'

A city official said, "Human book mentoring is a program in which citizens with diverse life experiences and wisdom meet directly with youth to share their stories and help them explore career paths. In the second half, we will operate the program substantively so that youth can communicate with human books from various fields, discover their interests, and concretely envision their futures."
