Citizens Join Together for 'Lawn Concert' on August 28 at Suwon Outdoor Music Hall

The '2026 Lawn Concert - A Midsummer Night's Sing-along' will be held on August 28 at 8 p.m. at Suwon Outdoor Music Hall (Ingye-dong), where citizens can sit on the lawn and enjoy performances by the Suwon Civic Chorus.

This year's concert will be organized as a 'Citizens' Unity Stage' where the Suwon Civic Chorus performs alongside amateur citizen choral groups from Suwon, singing together with the audience.

The Suwon Civic Chorus will showcase diverse choral performances, alternating between solo, ensemble, and duet performances with a gala show featuring musical numbers and pop classics. Amateur citizen choir members composing the 'Suwon Citizens Chorus Wishers' will join the stage to perform refreshing summer songs.

The core concept of this year's lawn concert is 'Sing-along,' which breaks down the barrier between stage and audience, allowing all attendees to sing along together. Citizens and musicians will complete a truly unified stage by singing together in chorus.

Since this is a stage created together with citizens, a 'dress code' (recommended attire) has been established this year - white tops. When citizens gather wearing white clothing, the lawn will transform like a summer night sky, creating a spectacular unified scene between stage and audience. The event aims to provide audiences with a special experience of becoming part of the performance.

The performance, conducted by artistic director Kim Bo-mi, will open with a grand overture created by Project Pops Orchestra and contemporary dance team (Orbit Project), followed by renowned pieces that captivate audiences.

Singer Lee Juck, known for his unique musical style, will make a special guest appearance. Lee Juck will present beloved songs that transcend generations, including 'Thank Goodness,' 'As I Say,' and 'Running Through the Sky,' creating unforgettable memories for the audience.

The lawn concert is held on the last Friday of August every year, a high-quality park concert that refreshes the midsummer heat with beautiful music. Now in its 24th year since its inception in 2003, this signature event by the Suwon Civic Chorus is free to enjoy.

No advance reservations are required; any citizen can watch for free. Bringing a picnic mat allows for a more comfortable viewing experience.
