Suwon to Distribute Up to 100,000 Won in Suwon Pay Incentives from September 1 for Chuseok

Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) is expanding the September Suwon Pay incentive to 20% for the Chuseok holiday season.

The incentive will be distributed from 9 a.m. on September 1 until the budget is exhausted. The charging limit per person is 500,000 won, and charging 500,000 won will earn a 100,000 won incentive.

The maximum Suwon Pay balance per person is 1 million won. Users can only charge up to available balance after spending existing funds.

Suwon Pay can only be used at Suwon Pay affiliated merchants in Suwon City. Usage is restricted at some stores including large discount retailers, department stores, and corporate supermarkets.

Users can charge through the Gyeonggi Regional Currency app or offline charging stations. The list of offline charging stations can be found on the Suwon City website (www.suwon.go.kr) by searching for 'Suwon Pay Offline Charging Stations' in the notices section. Offline charging stations are not operated on public holidays.

A Suwon City official stated, "We hope citizens enjoy a bountiful Chuseok holiday with Suwon Pay," and added, "We hope the expanded incentive will increase consumption in local alleyway commerce and bring the warmth of consumer spending to small business owners."
