Lee Ha-young's Solo Exhibition 'Sky of Emotions' Opens September 2 [Art S]
Artist Lee Ha-young, who has continued abstract painting using acrylic as a medium, will hold a solo exhibition titled 'Sky of Emotions' at Gallery La Mer from September 2 to 7.
The exhibition presents abstract painting works that express various emotions and memories experienced in life through color and form. The artist interprets impressions received from nature, sky, light, and color in her own formal language, capturing inner emotions and life's moments in abstract compositions rather than reproducing subjects as they are.
The 'Sky of Emotions' series expresses emotions and energy within the human interior through strong color contrasts such as red and black. For the artist, the sky is not merely a natural landscape but an inner space where joy and sorrow, tension and tranquility, memory and present emotions coexist.
The artist has consistently participated in solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, and art fairs, continuing her creative work. In 2023, she received the top award at the Gyeonggi Province Senior Art Contest.
This solo exhibition offers an opportunity to view this artist's long-developing painterly world in one place, and will also showcase the new artistic directions she plans to pursue going forward.
The exhibition runs from September 2 to 7 at Gallery La Mer.
