Suwon Youth Half-Price Officetel 'Saebit Youth Zone' Begins Resident Recruitment
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Chung Joon-sung] Suwon City, Gyeonggi Province announced that it is recruiting residents for ‘Saebit Youth Zone’ 4, a customized officetel in a transit-oriented district for youth, with applications open until the 28th.
Zone 4 is located 50 meters from Suwon City Hall Station and will supply a total of 141 units. The city is also recruiting alternate residents for 10 vacant units in Gwonseon-dong Zone 1 where contracts have ended.
Recipients of basic livelihood benefits can move in with a deposit of 1 million won at 40% of market rent, while general youth can move in with a deposit of 2 million won at 50% of market rent. After an initial two-year lease, residents can renew every two years for up to four times, allowing them to live for up to 10 years maximum.
Applicants must be unmarried youth aged 19-39 residing in Suwon City. The age criteria, which was previously 34, has been relaxed starting from this recruitment. Applicants must also meet asset criteria including a monthly average income of 4.576 million won or less.
Saebit Youth Zone is a youth housing support project pursued through an agreement between Suwon City and Korea Land & Housing Corporation signed in 2022, with a new location being developed annually. Applications can be made through the Saebit Talk Talk platform, and winners will be announced on November 20.
