Hwaseong Special City Dongtan District Implements 'Smartphone AI Utilization Education'
Dongtan District of Hwaseong Special City held 'visiting informatization education' for the Dongtan 7-dong chiefs unit at the Dongtan 7-dong Administrative Welfare Center on the 20th.
The education program was conducted following the Dongtan 7-dong chiefs unit meeting with the theme 'Smartphone Artificial Intelligence (AI) Utilization for the Dongtan 7-dong Chiefs Unit.' The education was structured as practice-oriented learning to help participants directly acquire AI utilization methods applicable not only to daily life but also to chiefs' duties and resident communication.
Dongtan District regularly operates 'visiting informatization education' focused on smartphone utilization by directly visiting 6-7 apartment senior centers and welfare facilities each month to enhance residents' digital capabilities and reduce information gaps.
Notably, this program expanded the education targets from the existing senior centers and welfare facilities to include the chiefs unit. The program was designed for chiefs, who serve as bridges between administration and residents in communities, to experience diverse AI utilization methods beyond basic smartphone usage, enabling them to directly apply generative AI in their duties and community communication.
Key education content includes △'Using Artificial Intelligence Safely,' where participants learn personal information protection and proper AI utilization ethics △'Smart Chiefs' Duties Accomplished by Voice,' where residents conveniently handle various announcements and communication tasks using voice AI △'Creating Our Neighborhood Song with Artificial Intelligence,' where participants create music about the region using generative AI.
Hwang Guk-hwan, District Chief of Dongtan, stated, "As AI technology rapidly spreads into daily life, it is important to help residents use the technology safely and effectively without feeling it is difficult." He added, "We will actively identify sites requiring education such as senior centers, welfare facilities, and chiefs units, expanding educational opportunities so residents can practically utilize digital technology in their daily lives."
