Dongtan-gu District of Hwaseong Special City Conducts 'Smartphone AI Utilization Training'
Dongtan-gu District of Hwaseong Special City held 'Visiting Information Technology Education' on the 20th at the Dongtan 7-dong Administrative Welfare Center for the district's community leaders.
The training was conducted following the Dongtan 7-dong community leaders' meeting under the theme of 'Smartphone Artificial Intelligence (AI) Utilization for Dongtan 7-dong Community Leaders.' The program was structured around hands-on practice to enable participants to learn AI utilization methods applicable not only to daily life but also to community leader duties and resident communication.
Dongtan-gu regularly operates 'Visiting Information Technology Education' focused on smartphone usage by directly visiting 6 to 7 senior centers and welfare facilities in apartment complexes each month to enhance residents' digital capabilities and narrow the digital divide.
In particular, this training expanded the target audience from traditional senior centers and welfare facilities to include community leaders. The program was designed to allow community leaders, who serve as bridges between administration and residents at the grassroots level, to experience diverse AI utilization methods beyond simple smartphone usage, enabling them to directly apply generative AI to their duties and community communication.
Key training content includes △'Using Artificial Intelligence Safely,' which teaches personal information protection and ethical AI utilization △'Smart Community Leader Work Handled by Voice,' which enables convenient handling of various announcements and communication tasks using voice AI △'Creating Our Neighborhood Song with AI,' where participants create music about their local area using generative AI.
Hwang Kuk-hwan, head of Dongtan-gu District, stated, "As AI technology rapidly spreads into daily life, it is important to help residents utilize the technology safely and usefully without finding it difficult." He added, "Beyond senior centers and welfare facilities, we will actively identify on-site training needs such as community leader groups and expand educational opportunities so residents can practically utilize digital technology in their daily lives."
