Hwaseong Special City Signs MOU on 'AI Digital Healthcare Project' with Public-Private Partnership

Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jung Myeong-geun) signed a memorandum of understanding with Space and Sharing, Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Dongtan City Hospital on the 22nd at the City Hall Central Conference Room for the successful implementation of the 'AI Digital Healthcare Project.'

This agreement was established to provide health management services utilizing digital technology to medically underserved populations and citizens in need of health management, and to construct a public-private cooperation system for community health promotion.

The 'AI Digital Healthcare Project' will provide services including digital health screening and preventive counseling to medically underserved populations. The project will conduct health screenings utilizing digital equipment including △screening for muscle loss, body shape imbalance, and fall risk △12-lead electrocardiogram for cardiac condition assessment △digital pulmonary function testing △artificial intelligence (AI) fundus imaging.

According to the agreement, Hwaseong Special City will support the coordination of health and medical services for medically underserved populations and the establishment of a community cooperation system. Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. will provide the infrastructure, equipment, and health information necessary for AI-based health management services, while Space and Sharing will support the implementation of social contribution projects based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management and the identification and operation of on-site needs.

Dongtan City Hospital will provide resources necessary for service operations and cooperate in coordinating related services to ensure that high-risk health groups identified during the health screening process receive appropriate health management.

Through this agreement, the city plans to leverage the expertise and resources of each organization to provide more convenient and attentive health management services to citizens who face difficulties in accessing health services. Additionally, the city will establish a community health management system utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology.

Mayor Jung Myeong-geun of Hwaseong Special City stated, "This project utilizing AI digital technology is significant in that it allows us to more carefully monitor the health of citizens who face difficulties in accessing health services," and added, "Based on the expertise and resources of each organization, we will ensure that citizens can conveniently check their health status in their daily lives and receive necessary health management services."
