Hwaseong Special City Byeongjeom 1-dong Presents Plaques of Appreciation to 6 Sharing Shops
On the 24th, Byeongjeom 1-dong in Byeongjeom Ward, Hwaseong Special City, visited 6 sharing shops in the area together with the Byeongjeom 1-dong Local Community Security Council, presented plaques of appreciation, and held a meal sharing event for low-income elderly residents.
The event was organized to express gratitude to sharing shops that have consistently sponsored food and meals for underprivileged neighbors, and to enhance the pride of participating shops and spread a culture of sharing throughout the community.
The Byeongjeom 1-dong Chief and members of the Local Community Security Council directly visited each sharing shop to present plaques and encouraged shop owners who have continued warm sharing for neighbors in need in the area.
The sharing shops that received plaques are △Tous les Jours △Farm (Nongga) △Compose Coffee △Jjamppong Gak △Parut Hada Day △Michineun Samgyeopsalmiwne, totaling 6 locations. These shops regularly sponsor food such as bread, meals, beverages, and meal vouchers, delivering warmth to neighbors in need. Nongga and Compose Coffee operate at the same location and installed a joint plaque.
Subsequently, in connection with Nongga's regular meal support program, galbitang (short rib soup) and beverages were provided to 30 low-income elderly residents. The Byeongjeom 1-dong team and Local Community Security Council members checked on the health status of the elderly and confirmed their wellbeing, adding meaning to community care.
Byeongjeom 1-dong Chief Jung Tae-sang said, "I am grateful to the shop owners who have consistently shared warm hearts for neighbors in need," and added, "I hope this plaque will serve as an opportunity to promote the value of long-term sharing while inspiring new participation in sharing efforts throughout the community."
