Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Significantly Strengthens Gyeonggi-Style Education and Childcare Expert Training System
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jeong Jun-seong] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has designed and is operating ‘G-i-S·A·M’ to systematically enhance the expertise of the education and childcare field in order to promote the Gyeonggi-style integration of kindergarten and childcare (yubo integration).
The Gyeonggi-style education and childcare expert training system ‘G-i-S·A·M’ is a Gyeonggi-style education and childcare expert training system designed to overcome the limits of short-term, one-off training and to support continuous professional growth.
It was designed to enable growth through the stages of Standard-Advanced-Master, based on the Gyeonggi realization of infant and young child-centered values (Infants & Young Children) and educational innovation (Innovator).
In addition, it is structured around three core competencies—△curriculum professional competency △educational ecosystem understanding competency △field growth support competency—so that, according to each stage, expertise expands from understanding the curriculum to field implementation and support.
This advanced training targets 60 people who completed the 2025 basic course and runs for a total of 30 hours from the 11th to the 26th. Centered on understanding yubo integration policy and education and childcare curricula, as well as consulting operation directions and actual cases, it enhances the expertise and implementation competencies needed for field support.
Afterward, those who complete the training are planned to be utilized as field experts (consultants) supporting the yubo integration pilot project and quality improvement of education and childcare curricula.
The Provincial Office of Education plans to continue providing support so that the Gyeonggi-style yubo integration can settle stably in the field, by further improving the quality of education and childcare and narrowing the gap between kindergartens and childcare centers through training education and childcare experts and providing field consulting.
