Through this agreement, the postpartum care herbal medicine discount benefit, which could only be received by women giving birth to a second or higher child, is now expanded to all women giving birth to their first child or higher. Pregnant women who have experienced miscarriage or stillbirth at 16 weeks or more of pregnancy are also newly included as eligible beneficiaries.

Eligible recipients can receive a 100,000 won discount when they prepare postpartum care herbal medicine worth 250,000 won or more. The discount amount is fully sponsored by Korean medicine clinics participating in the program.

Women who give birth can receive a 'Postpartum Care Herbal Medicine Discount Certificate' from their neighborhood administrative welfare center and submit it to a participating Korean medicine clinic in the area. Information about the expanded eligible beneficiaries and application procedures will be available at the neighborhood administrative welfare centers from September 1st.

Suwon City and the Suwon Special City Korean Medicine Association agreed to support health recovery for postpartum women and pregnant women with miscarriage or stillbirth, and to cooperate in creating a birth-friendly social environment based on this agreement.
