Top 5 Shine Muscat Farms Selected in Hwaseong City

Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jeong Myung-geun) will hold the "3rd Hwaseong Special City Shine Muscat Quality Assessment Exhibition" on the 30th at the Fruit Excellence Business Division of the Hwaseong City Agricultural Technology Center to promote the excellence of Shine Muscat produced in the region and boost farmers' motivation to produce high-quality fruit.

This quality assessment exhibition is hosted by the Hwaseong City Agricultural Technology Center and organized by the Hwaseong City Women's Grape Research Association, and will run from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The city received applications from Shine Muscat farming households in the region in August and conducted a three-stage assessment process consisting of farm evaluation, measurement assessment, and exterior assessment. Through this, five farms with excellent fruit quality and cultivation management standards were selected as "Top 5 Shine Muscat Farms in Hwaseong Special City."

The selected farms are ▲Hyangnam Grape Garden (Kim Mi-suk) ▲Songsan Natural Farm (Noh Jae-gwon) ▲Moon Farm (Mun Myeon-ho) ▲Grape Papa (Yoo Mu-cheol) ▲Bedel Farm (Lee Yong-hun).

On the day of the event, outstanding entries from the five selected farms will be displayed, and certificates of recognition for excellent farms will be presented to the respective farms. In addition, new grape varieties cultivated by local farms and grape-based products will be exhibited.

The Hwaseong City Women's Grape Research Association will participate in event preparation and operation, and will introduce foods and recipes utilizing grapes such as wine to showcase new ways to use grapes to attendees.

In addition, a seminar will be held on agricultural product marketing strategies and cultivation management techniques for high-quality fruit production to provide farmers with information they can apply in their farming operations.

Choi Jae-yeon, head of the Technology Extension Division, stated, "This quality assessment exhibition is a meaningful occasion to widely publicize the excellence of Hwaseong grapes and share the cultivation techniques and experiences of excellent farms. We hope that superior cultivation techniques will spread across local farms, becoming an opportunity to enhance the quality and competitiveness of Hwaseong grapes."
