Yangju Thanks Visitors on Janghheung Tourist Site's 40th Anniversary

Yangju City will operate a "Spend in Yangju, Yangju Gives More+" tourism consumption reward pilot project from October 1 to November 30 to revitalize tourism in the western region and boost consumption in local commercial areas.

The city announced that this project was prepared on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Jangheung Tourist Site designation to widely promote tourism resources in the western region, including Jangheung, and to activate consumption in local commercial sectors.

Eligible participants are tourists aged 19 and above who reside outside Yangju City according to their registered residence. The city will provide up to 40,000 won per person per visit for tourism-related consumption in the western region, including Baekseok-eup, Eunhyeon-myeon, Nam-myeon, Gwangjeok-myeon, and Jangheung-myeon. Tourists can apply for rewards by aggregating expenses incurred at tourist attractions, cultural and experiential facilities, restaurants, cafes, accommodations, and other establishments within the western region.

Visitors who spend 40,000 won or more will receive 20,000 won in Yangju Love Cards, and those who spend 80,000 won or more will receive 40,000 won. For consumption amounts between 50,000 won and under 80,000 won or 90,000 won and above, tourism souvenirs will be provided on a differentiated basis depending on the consumption bracket. Yangju Love Cards can be used at affiliated merchants throughout the city.

Tourists wishing to participate should check the announcement posted on the city website and submit required documents to the person in charge via email (jinhui5038@korea.kr) at least five days before their planned visit. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and once eligibility is confirmed, selected tourists will receive individual text message notifications with participation instructions. Selected tourists should travel the western region on their scheduled visit date, and after tourism consumption, bring original receipts and identification to a designated tourist information center to apply for their reward.

The Yangju Love Card will be mailed by registered post within 10 days from the date of application after review of support eligibility. The pilot project may be terminated early if the budget is exhausted. For more details, please check the city website's notices and announcements.
