Paldal-gu, Suwon City Concludes District Chief Cup Community Sports Rope Jumping Competition

Paldal-gu in Suwon City (District Chief Hwang Gyue-don) held the 'Paldal-gu District Chief Cup Community Sports Rope Jumping Competition' on the 22nd at the Dream Sports Hall of the Suwon Youth Culture Center to enhance residents' basic fitness and share the joy of community sports.

The competition, hosted by Paldal-gu and organized by the Paldal-gu Rope Jumping Association, was held as the midpoint event of this year's Paldal-gu District Chief Cup Sports Competition (the fifth of nine total events), following futsal, gate ball, baduk, and e-sports.

The competition drew approximately 200 rope jumping enthusiasts from the district, with participants ranging from youth divisions to high school and general divisions competing in both individual and team events categorized by age and competition category.

In particular, the event provided youth participants an opportunity to develop physical strength and concentration through rope jumping while learning the value of fair competition, while also serving as a venue for harmony where high school and general division participants could maintain their exercise habits and expand exchanges among fellow enthusiasts.

Jin Jae-seok, president of the Suwon Rope Jumping Association, said, "It was meaningful to gather participants from young children to adult enthusiasts in one place to share the joy of rope jumping," and expressed gratitude, stating, "We thank Paldal-gu for creating this festive venue."

District Chief Hwang Gyue-don said, "Rope jumping is a community sports activity that anyone can easily enjoy while developing physical fitness, concentration, and cooperative spirit. I hope this competition, which brings together diverse generations from youth to general divisions, will serve as an opportunity to spread a healthy leisure culture and invigorate our local community."
