Suwon Paldal-gu District Concludes Rope-Jumping Championship Sponsored by District Chief
Paldal-gu District in Suwon City (District Chief Hwang Kyudon) held the 'Paldal-gu District Chief-Sponsored Community Sports Rope-Jumping Championship' on the 22nd at the Dream Sports Hall of the Suwon Youth Culture Center to enhance residents' basic physical fitness and share the enjoyment of community sports.
Hosted by Paldal-gu District and organized by the Paldal-gu Rope-Jumping Association, this championship was held as the midpoint event of this year's Paldal-gu District Chief Sports Championship (the 5th event out of a total of 9 sports) following Jokgu, gateball, Go, and e-sports.
The championship drew approximately 200 rope-jumping enthusiasts from within the district, with competitions held from the youth division through high school and general divisions. Participants competed in individual and team events across categories divided by age and competition type.
In particular, for young participants, the event served as an opportunity to develop physical fitness and concentration through rope-jumping and to learn the value of fair competition. For high school and general division participants, it became a venue for solidarity that encouraged maintaining exercise habits in daily life and expanding exchanges among fellow enthusiasts.
Jin Jae-seok, President of the Suwon Rope-Jumping Association, stated, "It was meaningful to bring together young participants and adult enthusiasts to share the joy of rope-jumping," and expressed gratitude, saying, "We appreciate Paldal-gu District for organizing this festive event."
District Chief Hwang Kyudon remarked, "Rope-jumping is a community sports activity that anyone can easily enjoy while developing physical fitness, concentration, and cooperative spirit. I hope this championship, which brings together diverse generations from youth to the general population, will serve as an opportunity to promote healthy leisure culture and revitalize our local community."
