[Suwon Ilbo=Cheon Ui-hyeon, Reporter] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will extend operations of the '2026 Suwon National Heritage Night - Tenth Evening, Suwon Yeonhyang' through August 30th.

Originally scheduled to run for three days from August 14th to 16th, the event was significantly expanded to a 17-day schedule following continuous visitor traffic and positive reception from citizens and tourists.

The Suwon National Heritage Night is a summer evening festival where visitors enjoy performances, exhibitions, and experiences set against the backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Suwon Hwaseong Fortress and surrounding cultural facilities. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the event's establishment.

During the extended period, diverse events will continue at three major venues: 'Yongryeon Gat Lanterns' and 'Banghwa Bridge Lights' in the Yongryeon area, 'Hwahongmun Media Art' in the Hwahongmun area, and nighttime lighting installations at Maehyang Bridge and Suwon Stream. The 'Joseon Moonlight Market' and 'Haenggung Willow Market' will also operate in connection with the evening opening of Hwaseong Haenggung Palace.

A city official stated, "We hope more citizens and tourists will enjoy the beautiful nighttime scenery of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress" and added, "We will actively promote the extended operations to provide substantial help in revitalizing the local commercial district."
