Yangju City Publicly Recruits Citizen Evaluation Committee for Ninth Popularly Elected Administration's Campaign Promises
Yangju City announced it is publicly recruiting the 'Ninth Popularly Elected Administration Campaign Promise Fulfillment Citizen Evaluation Committee' to fairly and objectively evaluate the implementation of campaign projects from the ninth popularly elected administration and reflect citizens' opinions in municipal governance.
A total of 30 members will be recruited, organized into six subcommittees: △General Administration △Transportation and Urban Development △Education △Industry, Economy, and Jobs △Culture, Tourism, and Sports △Health and Welfare.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old as of the announcement date. Eligible applicants include △experts with rich experience and knowledge in respective fields of campaign matters △individuals who can represent local or civil organizations related to campaign promises △Yangju City residents who wish to actively participate in municipal development.
However, individuals who engage in activities for specific political parties or political purposes are excluded.
The recruitment period runs from August 20 to September 2. Applicants can submit relevant documents including application forms via email (mjgongju@korea.kr) or visit the Planning and Budget Division at Yangju City Hall to apply.
The city will conduct qualification verification and internal review to make final selections for the citizen evaluation committee, and results will be notified individually.
The campaign promise fulfillment citizen evaluation committee will provide opinions on the development and modification of implementation plans for campaign projects, and will conduct diagnosis, evaluation, and provide suggestions and recommendations on the overall fulfillment of campaign projects. The activity period extends from the date of appointment through the term of the ninth popularly elected mayor.
Yangju Mayor Jung Deok-young stated, "Since campaign promises are precious commitments to citizens, it is important for citizens to directly monitor whether promises are being implemented as planned and provide their opinions. We ask for your active interest and participation in recruiting members for the campaign promise fulfillment citizen evaluation committee."
