Suwon City to Hold 110th Suwon Forum on the 22nd

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City will hold the 110th Suwon Forum at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd in the main auditorium of City Hall under the theme "Democracy Stops at the Company Door." Since July 2010, the city has held monthly forums inviting renowned figures from various sectors of society.

Dr. Woo Seok-hoon, the speaker for this forum, holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Yonsei University and completed his doctoral studies in economics at Paris Nanterre University (formerly Paris 10 University). He subsequently served as a research fellow at the Financial Economic Research Institute and as an adjunct professor at Seoul National University of Science and Technology's Graduate School of Industrial Technology. He is currently co-chair of "Citizen Political Action, the Country of My Dreams."

His publications include "Democracy Stops at the Company Door (2018)," "The Fraud of the State (2018)," and "Social Economy Transcends Left and Right (2017)." He became known to the public through "The 880,000 Won Generation" in 2007.

In his lecture, Dr. Woo points out workplace culture such as "power abuse" and "toxic mentoring," and presents "workplace democracy" solutions including institutional and atmosphere improvements and dialogue. He also introduces positive cases of "workplace democracy."
