[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Youngdeung-gu in Suwon (District Chief Song Young-wan) held a briefing session on the 19th at the district office with the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX) Suwon Branch, the surveying contractor for the Iui District Cadastral Re-investigation Project.

The district has been implementing the Iui District Cadastral Re-investigation Project since February targeting 49 parcels, approximately 106,933 square meters, in the vicinity of 910-1, Iui-dong. The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-December with boundaries finalized, followed by adjustment fee calculation, project completion announcement, and cadastral records organization.

The Cadastral Re-investigation Project is a national initiative to resolve issues with paper cadastral maps handwritten during the Japanese colonial period and to remeasure areas where cadastral records do not match actual boundaries, thereby correcting land boundaries and enhancing land utilization value. The project will continue through 2030.

At the briefing session, participants discussed ▲establishing cooperation systems for rapid completion of the cadastral re-investigation project ▲measures to address restrictions on landowners' property rights exercise ▲future development directions of the cadastral re-investigation project, among other topics.

District Chief Song Young-wan stated, "Since landowners in the cadastral re-investigation project district face restrictions on land use such as construction during the project period, we earnestly request active cooperation so that the cadastral re-investigation project can be completed promptly and property rights can be exercised."
