[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City announced on the 23rd that it has begun operating screening clinics for the novel coronavirus infection, also known as Wuhan pneumonia.

Anyone who has visited Wuhan, China, and has a fever or respiratory symptoms must first receive consultation and treatment at a screening clinic rather than at a hospital emergency room. A screening clinic is a facility temporarily set up inside or outside a hospital emergency room to isolate suspected patients from general patients. Each medical institution is also carrying out preventive measures to prevent the spread of infection.

Suwon City's screening clinics are located at Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Suwon Hospital, Ajou University Hospital, St. Vincent's Hospital of the Catholic University, and Dongsuwon Hospital. As of the 23rd, there are five people under active monitoring for the novel coronavirus in Suwon City. Those under active monitoring are patients who do not meet the symptom criteria for the novel coronavirus infection, but who have a fever or may later develop a cough or fever, and whose changes in symptoms are being monitored.
