Suwon's Gwonseon District Cracks Down on Illegal Activities in Green Belt Area
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Gwonseon District in Suwon will conduct enforcement operations against illegal activities in the green belt area during the first quarter of 2020 through March.
The enforcement area is the green belt zone (11.4 square kilometers) within Gwonseon District. The main targets for illegal activity crackdowns include unauthorized construction activities (illegal new construction and additions), unauthorized conversion of agricultural vinyl greenhouses for residential or commercial use, unauthorized change of land use such as forest damage and earthwork, cutting, and stockyard creation.
Upon detection of illegal activities, administrative measures including corrective orders and penalty charges will be imposed on the person responsible or property owner, and habitual violators may also be referred to judicial authorities.
A district official stated, "This year we will establish quarterly enforcement plans and strengthen continuous inspection and crackdowns on illegal activities in the green belt area, which are increasing every year."
