Osan City Decides to Extend Closure of Social Welfare and Sports Facilities

[Suwon Ilbo=Seo Dong-young] Osan City announced on the 14th that it will extend the closure of several social welfare facilities and sports facilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The comprehensive social welfare center, senior comprehensive welfare center, disabled persons comprehensive welfare center, and four senior dining halls will extend their closure through the 23rd, while the comprehensive childcare support center and I Love Mom Cafe will remain closed through the 29th.

The city will operate senior welfare facilities and childcare facilities on a limited basis during the closure period for elderly citizens and infants requiring emergency care.

Indoor sports facilities operated by Osan City Facility Management Corporation are also postponing their reopening. The corporation had planned to temporarily close indoor sports facilities from the 6th through the 16th. However, as the COVID-19 situation continues, it has decided to extend the closure by one week through the 23rd.

The relevant indoor sports facilities are Osan Sports Center, Wondong Elementary School Sports Center, Segyo Welfare Town Swimming Pool, and Jungmi Multi-purpose Gymnasium.
