Gwanggyo Lakeside Park Disinfection Conducted to Prevent Spread of COVID-19
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City conducted disinfection in the Gwanggyo Lakeside Park area on the 18th to mark the 'Intensive Disinfection Day'.
The disinfection was carried out to prevent the spread of the infectious disease amid the prolonged COVID-19 situation and to prepare for the surge in spring visitors to Gwanggyo Lakeside Park.
A total of 50 people participated in the disinfection, including 20 staff and management contractors from the Suwon City Park and Green Space Office, 20 members from the Suwon Green Trust (Chairman Lee Deuk-hyun), and 10 from the People Who Love the Rose of Sharon (Co-representative Kim Woo-jin).
They divided the area into three zones—Woncheon Lake, the observatory, and Sindae Reservoir—and used disinfection sprayers to carry out intensive disinfection of the Gwanggyo Lakeside Park observatory, ecological experience center, dog playground, visitor center, restrooms, campground, and shops.
A city official said, "We will conduct disinfection every week to thoroughly ensure COVID-19 prevention and hygiene management," adding, "We expect that the disinfection activities at Gwanggyo Lakeside Park will help ease visitors' anxiety about using the facilities."
