Gwonseon-gu Extends Support to Suwon Flower Farmers

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Gwonseon-gu has purchased freesia flowers produced by flower farmers in Suwon and placed them in its busy Civil Service Center to uplift spirits amid the COVID-19 downturn and share the hardships faced by flower-producing farms.

Currently, flower farmers are experiencing significant difficulties due to numerous event cancellations, including graduation ceremonies, caused by COVID-19.

"Although it may not be large economic assistance, it will be conveyed with great care to farmers facing hardship," said Jang Gyeong-suk, head of the Integrated Civil Service Division of Gwonseon-gu.
