Suwon City and Suwon Public Service Workers' Union Conclude '2020 Public Service Worker Wage and Collective Agreement'
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City and the Suwon Public Service Workers' Union concluded the '2020 Public Service Worker Wage and Collective Agreement' on the 14th at Suwon City Hall.
Attendees included Jo Jin-haeng, Director of Administrative Support Division, Kim Gyu-dong, Chairman of the Suwon Public Service Workers' Union, and Yoon Suk-ja, Head of the Suwon City Branch of the Korean Democratic Federation of Labor Unions.
Through the agreement, public service worker wages in Suwon City were increased by 2.8~3.5%. Additionally, holiday allowances were raised by 5% based on the basic salary, and fixed meal allowances were increased by 10,000 won monthly. Special hazardous duty allowances will be paid at 50,000 won per month.
In addition, the number of paid sick leave days was increased (15 days→30 days) and long-service vacation was newly established.
The Suwon Public Service Workers' Union is the representative bargaining union with 382 members (59.1%) out of 646 public service workers in Suwon City.
