Yeongdeungpo District's Geulbint Nuri Park to Open Early on the 25th This Month
[Suwon Ilbo=Seo Dong-young Reporter] Geulbint Nuri Park located within the Mangpo 4 District Development Project in Mangpo-dong, Yeongdeungpo District, Suwon, will open early on the 25th, six months ahead of the original schedule.
Geulbint Nuri Park is a neighborhood park covering an area of 45,103 square meters located at 76-10, Mangpo-dong, and is a donated public park created through a private residential construction project.
A total of 1.6 billion won has been invested based on the concept of "wind of nature and wind of culture" symbolizing the vast fields of Mangpo-dong. Trees of 30 species totaling 29,081 plants and flowers have been planted to allow residents to enjoy walks in the park.
Yeongdeungpo District originally aimed for completion in December of this year but accepted resident requests for early opening.
Song Young-wan, District Chief of Yeongdeungpo, said, "Geulbint Nuri Park is a large-scale park adjacent to an elementary school, library, and multi-family housing complexes and will greatly contribute to providing park services as a rest space in the city for 60,000 residents of Mangpo-dong."
