Suwon City Accepting Applications for Apartment Complex Community Activation Projects

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City announced on the 6th that it will proceed with a "community activation project" to foster a culture of communication and mutual prosperity among residents living in apartment complexes in the city.

The apartment complex community activation support project is designed to resolve conflicts among residents and create a community culture of communication by establishing communication spaces within apartment complexes or supporting various activities.

The target is apartment complexes (including rental housing complexes) in Suwon that have received project plan approval under the Housing Act and been completed. Each complex can apply for only one project.

The program is divided into community activation projects and space creation projects. The community activation project enables residents within the complex to unite and communicate. Up to 90% of total project costs, including program operation expenses, will be supported.

The space creation project involves creating spaces and establishing various systems to activate community. Up to 90% of pure construction costs for space remodeling will be supported.

The maximum subsidy is 9 million won (with at least 10% self-funding), and a total of 90 million won is projected to be spent.

For complexes under mandatory management, applications should be submitted by the management entity with the approval of the residents' representative council. If there is a separate community activation organization, the application must be submitted under joint names.

For complexes under voluntary management, two representatives should be selected, and the selected representatives must obtain consent from at least 1/2 of all residents (with consent forms attached) before submitting the application.

The application period is from July 1 to 6 p.m. on July 24. Application forms can be downloaded from the "2020 Apartment Complex Community Activation Support Project" announcement in the "Notices/Announcements/Legislative Notice" section on the city website (www.suwon.go.kr).
