(Breaking) 67th COVID-19 Confirmed Case in Suwon, Presumed Related to Suwon Dongbu Church

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] A COVID-19 confirmed case presumed to be related to Suwon Dongbu Church (Maetan 3-dong) has occurred in Suwon.

On the 4th, Suwon City announced through "Suwon COVID-19 Response Notice 403" that a man in his 60s residing at Shinmyung Korea Apartment in Yeongdong 1-dong, Yeongdong-gu, has been confirmed as a COVID-19 case.

The confirmed case is a family member of Suwon cases 57 and 58. After developing a fever on the 2nd, he visited the Yeongdong-gu Health Center screening clinic by ambulance the next day for testing. He received a positive result on the 4th and is currently awaiting transfer to Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Suwon Hospital. Meanwhile, cases 57 and 58 are congregants of Suwon Dongbu Church, where a cluster infection recently occurred.

The city announced it would rapidly clarify the confirmed case's movements through epidemiological investigation.
