Jangan-gu Conducts On-Site Inspections of Noraebang and PC Bangs for Quarantine Compliance
[Suwon Ilbo=Correspondent Seo Dong-young] Following the implementation of strengthened quarantine measures targeting the Seoul metropolitan area due to COVID-19, Jangan-gu, Suwon has been conducting on-site inspections of noraebang, PC bangs, and other distribution businesses in the district from the 3rd to the 14th.
The district sent notice and organized six inspection teams consisting of 26 staff members to focus on checking whether facilities are operating and whether quarantine guidelines are being followed according to inspection checklists. Additionally, notices have been posted at entrances prohibiting individuals with symptoms such as coughing, fever, and sore throat from entering the establishments.
A district official stated, "Businesses operating without adhering to quarantine guidelines may face fines up to 3 million won under the Infectious Disease Prevention Act, administrative measures such as gathering bans, and damage compensation including hospitalization and treatment costs if confirmed cases occur." The official added, "We urge business owners and citizens using these facilities to actively practice quarantine guidelines and social distancing in daily life for disease prevention and safety."
