[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City held a "3rd Youth Policy Committee Member Commissioning Ceremony" at Cheongnuri in Paldal-gu on the 24th, presenting appointment certificates to 30 new members.

The Suwon City Youth Policy Committee, which launched in October 2016, serves to deliberate and advise on Suwon City's youth policies aimed at protecting youth rights and enhancing their interests.

The new members comprise youth policy experts, youth leaders, and university students. The term of office is two years, with one possible reappointment.

Prior to the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Kim Do-young, newly appointed member and researcher at the Suwon City Research Institute, delivered a lecture on the topic of "Local Autonomy and Youth Policy."

The commissioning ceremony that followed included the election of co-chairpersons and vice-chairpersons to represent the committee.

An official from the city's Youth Policy Division stated, "Suwon City is taking a step ahead of other cities in establishing various policies for youth," and asked for "the deep interest and participation of the 3rd Youth Policy Committee members in realizing Suwon-style youth policies."
