Yongin Mayor Baek Kun-gi Inspects Quarantine Measures at 2021 College Entrance Exam Test Sites
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Park No-hun] Yongin Mayor Baek Kun-gi visited Cheongdeok High School and Bora Middle School in Giheung-gu, designated as test sites for the 2021 College Entrance Exam, on the 1st to inspect whether quarantine guidelines are being followed.
Given that the College Entrance Exam is being held amid the COVID-19 crisis, the purpose of the inspection was to prioritize test-taker safety above all else and directly observe the on-site conditions.
The inspection was conducted by Mayor Baek and five others, including Lee Yun-sik, superintendent of the Yongin Office of Education, and city officials.
They verified the test-taker entry procedures and quarantine conditions in exam rooms, confirmed the installation of desk partitions, and carefully checked whether separate exam rooms for symptomatic test-takers were properly prepared.
"As we face this critical moment before test-takers take their most important exam, I am deeply concerned about the resurgence of COVID-19," Mayor Baek said. "We will do our utmost to ensure all test-takers can safely take the exam through strengthened College Entrance Exam quarantine measures."
Meanwhile, 14,728 test-takers, the highest number in the province, will take the 2021 College Entrance Exam at 32 test sites in Yongin.
